About resort
The Mitterdorf ski resort is located in the Bavarian Forest on the Czech border and is a popular destination to have fun on skis, snowboards or sledges. Groomed pistes are ideal for experienced skiers as well as beginners. Families love it here very much because the offer is interesting for all age groups. Special climatic conditions guarantee snow from mid-December to mid-March. And to complete the varied winter offer, there are several ski schools and ski rentals as well as cosy hotels/hostels with Bavarian and international cuisine. Due to the conditions on the pistes, the Mitterdorf ski resort is tailored for handicapped skiers! What’s more, a 200-metre-long sledge track with a comfortable magic carpet lift promises fun for the whole family.
One 2-seater chairlift, 4 ski lifts, 4 magic carpet lifts and a rope tow lift have a total transport capacity of about 10,000 people/hour. Blue pistes are 2.5 km long, red pistes are 2 km long, black pistes are about 0.5 km long, this makes 5 km in total. Cross-country skiers and winter hikers can enjoy 23 kilometres of groomed cross-country skiing trails and winter hiking trails. Three ski schools offer alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing lessons for all age groups and levels. A ski rental and two ski courses are available on the pistes and in Mitterfirmiansreut. In the area, there are more than 400 beds for guests (hotels, guest houses, suites and holiday houses), 800 parking spaces for cars and 20 parking spaces for buses.
