Ski lifts, cable cars, pistes
Take the popular funicular railway to Hrebienok. Shorten your journey with a funicular and reach Hrebienok comfortably in just 7 minutes, overcoming an altitude difference of 255 metres. During the winter season, the Jakubkova lúka ski resort operates in the heart of Starý Smokovec.
The Jakubkova lúka ski resort offers ideal conditions for children and beginners, with its gentler pistes and excellent services in the beautiful surroundings of Starý Smokovec.
When skiing in Jakubkova lúka, you can feast your eyes on magestic Mt Slavkovský štít. The resort’s location is more than convenient, with the funicular operating to Hrebienok, Grandhotel Praha and the train and bus stations nearby.
The Jakubkova lúka pistes are marked blue, which makes them suitable for everyone as they are the least challenging. The resort has two ski lifts – one for the ski school and the other one as the main lift. The ski school features various obstacles, gates and slalom poles.
The main piste is also marked blue, offering space for less experienced skiers to improve their techniques. It is 950 metres long, with a gentle inclination throughout, perfect for family skiing.
